Hey there Grade 9's! I hope everyone has warmed up and you have had a chance to think about all the stuff we did with the GPS receivers. One thing we didn't get to do was have a discussion about how the day went, so here's a few questions that your class may discuss or you may answer yourselves on this blog. I hope to work with you all again soon!

- What was your favorite part of the day? What made that part of the day so good?
- Was there part of the day that could have been better? How could it have been better?
- Do you think you could teach someone to use a Magellan GPS receiver now?
- Do you think you could use a different brand or type of GPS receiver now?
- What would be a cool place to explore with a GPS receiver? How would a GPS receiver help you explore this place?

Wow! Why does it have to be over? The Hide and Seek, and the Amazing Race were excellent. We had a hard time getting the hang of it at first, but after lunch we got more experienced. Thank-you so much. It was a pleasure having you here Mr. Ireland.

Our experience with the GPS was awesome! Thanks to yesterday, we are thinking about getting a GPS and trying out geo-caching. It was the best math class ever and we hope we can do it again soon!!
Thank you for coming out and spending the day with us.

PS Even though it was cold, all of the WALKING kept us warm! :)
It was fun to miss class all day and learn to use the GPS system. We think it would have been more fun if it was a warmer day because it was too cold. But overall we really enjoyed the experience. We think it would be fun to get a GSP and take a road trip with our friends and use them to get where we want.
Wow! What a day! As a group, we discovered that one device could get you from one point to another. The best thing about the workshop was the "Amazing Race" and how we got to go around town and take pictures. We think it would be fun to go geocaching and learn more. One last thing we would like to say is... Thank you Mr.Ireland.

A G.P.S. is just a navigational system. That's what we thought before we actually used one! We would have to say it was an amazing and interesting experience we'll never forget! The 3 of us learned how to punch in coordinates and track items and/ or places with the G.P.S. After this we thought we would all go out and buy one for ourselves because we know that it would be a unique experience to go geocaching together.
P.S. Hope we can have another G.P.S. Day! Thank you for spending the day with us!

The GPS activity we did was a very cool experience for us. We would both really like to get one for our vacations so we don't get lost in a city. We would also like to try out geo-caching. Thanks a lot Mr. Ireland for the great experience.

Thank you Mr. Ireland for giving us the opportunities to use the GPS and camera. We had a really WICKED time with you. It was so cold that day but my team ran so it wasn't as cold for us. Thank you again Mr. Ireland

Yesterday was the most fun we've had so far because we didn't have to do any school work. This experience was great. We enjoyed learning how to use the G.P.S. and the camera. We are both thinking about getting a G.P.S. now. AE wants one for hunting. RM wants one for snowmobiling.
We had a lot of fun yesterday because we got to miss school and go walk around town to find things with the GPS. We got lost once but finally found where we were
going. Thank you for comming to Indian Head High school to teach us to use the GPS.
