GPS at Sedley

Hello Grade 7 and 8 students at Sedley,

I hope that you will take a few minutes to tell me about your experiences during the GPS activity. Please respond to the following questions in a comment.

1. What did you enjoy about today's activity? Is there anything that you didn't like?

2. What did you learn today that you didn't know before?

2. What was different about today's learning compared to learning on other days? Was your learning today better or worse than other days at school?

3. Have you thought of any additional uses for the GPS receivers?

4. Would you like to do an activity like this again in the future?

Thanks for your participation!

Mrs. Faucher

It was much more fun learning about this than doing other classes. So it was way better than doing normal work. With GPS's you can also look at maps and do lots of other things.Yes deffinetly I would love to do this agian. I really enjoyed this. By Dusty.

Well i loved the GPS's they are so much fun! i just didnt like was the cold i rather do it in summer. Winter slowed us down because we got cold and had to go inside to warm up. I didnt know how to use a actual gps only the one in my van. It was different because we go hands on experience insead of having to write down EVERYTHING!! it was almost the same are a regular learing day but today was a lot of fun so i think it waas better i hate doing a lot of work. I am mostly gunna just use GPS's for finding places and to figure our where im going.I WOULD TOTALLY LOVE ANOTHER ACTIVITY LIKE THIS!!!! Bye

It was so fun to walk around town and miss classes (just kiding!).It was really cold, but I learned a lot about gps' and how they work and geocaching. I thought geocaching looked interesting, but I had never tried it. I'm definately going to try this at home! Today was kind of 'hands on' learning instead of sitting in class and listening to a lecture.
I would definately do this again! Just say the word!

It was kinda fun, but I was cold. But, either than that, I really enjoyed myself and I had a good time with the GPS's.
